Reception
As guests and members arrive at the Siouxland Center for Active Generations, a friendly face is always there to greet them. This is the job of the people who volunteer as Receptionists in the Active Generations main lobby. You will answer questions regarding daily and monthly activities, and may even give a Center tour. This team also reaches out to other members about upcoming events, answers the phone, finds volunteers for a special project or event, and many other tasks for those willing to take on new challenges.
Special Events and Activities
This team participates in special events held by Active Generation all through out the year. Fundraisers like the Golf Outing, our Vendor Fair, and events like Fall Follies, and Cruise Week are all events that we count on volunteers to be a part of.
We also need volunteers who are willing to lead or co-lead a group or class. Come share your talent or skill with other members.
Dining Room, Gift Shop, Coffee Shop, Library and more
Whether you have hours or days to volunteer, we need your help and support! Our volunteer team members help in every corner of our amazing facility. A lot goes on inside Active Generations. All areas could use additional supports and a helping hand. Just stop in or give us a call. We will be happy to share our current needs with you and hear your ideas on how you would like to support the seniors of this community.

At Active Generations, most of our programs are lead by folks like you: people who have a skill, talent or gift and a heart for sharing.
Do you have an Idea for a New Program?
Stop in the programming office and share your ideas and suggestions. Perhaps there is a game that you really enjoy and would like to bring it to your friends at Active Generations. We are always looking for new programs and activities to offer our members.
Drop in Programming
At Active Generations, all members are welcome all the time. Not only do we have a full calendar of events, we also offer many drop-in activities. Still, we want to offer more. If you have an idea for an activity that can be available anytime during Center hours, stop in and share your thoughts.

We know that seniors today have a wide variety of interests. We also know that senior today also share many of the same ideas of fun. We would like the opportunity to bring your program/activity, and your group here to Active Generations to meet, or to participate in programming that we can also offer to our current members.
